Sekilas tentang kopi luwak
Kopi Luwak adalah jenis kopi dari biji kopi yang telah dimakan dan melewati saluran pencernaan binatang bernama luwak. Ketenaran dan kemasyhuran kopi luwak ini telah terkenal sampai ke luar negeri. Bahkan di negara USA Amerika Serikat, terdapat kafe atau kedai coffe yang menjual kopi luwak (Civet Coffee) dengan harga yang cukup mahal sumber wikipedia
Kopi ! minuman ekstase berkafein tinggi ini menempati peringkat 2 dunia, satu tingkat di bawah air putih dalam hal konsumsi. Tak kurang dari 1 juta lebih orang peminum setiap harinya, membuat kopi menjadi komoditas utama terbesar ketiga dibawah gas dan minyak bumi. Karena kepopulerannya, tak mengherankan jika ada puluhan, bahkan ratusan jenis varietas baru yang ditemukan secara sengaja ataupun tidak bermunculan dimana mana. Cara Pembuatan Kopi Luwak
How is kopi kuwak made?
What happens to the coffee beans between when they are on the tree and when they finally become the world's most exclusive beverage?
Coffee Cherries
Kopi luwak begins life as does any other coffee as a small red fruit on a coffee tree.
The Luwak
At this point things change and for reasons known only to the Luwak, the cherry is selected and then eaten by a Luwak.

The cherries that have been eaten come out looking like this!
Individual Beans
The pieces of kopi luwak are then broken down into individual beans that, while they may appear unclean, still retain the pergamino (the thin skin surrounding the coffee bean) which prevents the coffee bean itself from coming into contact with anything else in the stomach of the Luwak.
Drying
At this point the coffee beans have probably only been off the tree for a very short period of time, they are still green and contain too much moisture. They are spread across the ground on top of dark coloured canvas for between 4 and 7 days, depending on the weather. Drying the coffee causes the bean inside to shrink and the outer pergamino to become brittle and crack making it easier to remove.
Dried Beans
After drying for a week, the thin papery pergamino has cracked and the coffee beans inside, quite clearly visible in this image, have dried out and shrunk.
Pounding
As we are still a small cottage industry everything is done by hand.
The dried beans are put into a wooden mortar and pounded with a pestle causing the brittle pergamino to fragment and fall apart.
Chaff
The coffee beans are hard and are unaffected by the pounding whereas the pergamino has completely broken down into dust and chaff which is easily removed through winnowing.
Clean Beans
The beans to the left retain the pergamino while it has already been removed from the beans to the right. Some beans still have a thin fibrous coating that is more difficult to completely remove and is what becomes caught in the chaff collector when the beans are roasted.
Sorting
The final step in obtaining premium quality green kopi luwak beans is manual sorting, a process that is both time consuming and labour intensive. Any beans that are unsuitable for sale or appear irregular are removed by hand so that the beans you purchase are as near to perfect as is humanly (and Luwakly) possible.The Process of Making Kopi Luwak

SELAYANG: Berselindung di sebalik nama kopitiam, sebuah premis di sini langsung tidak menghiraukan tahap kebersihan ketika menyediakan makanan untuk pelanggan.
Lebih meloyakan, bahan mentah seperti sayuran dipotong di atas lantai dapur premis terbabit sebelum dipercayai dimasukkan ke dalam masakan mereka.
Bagaimanapun, tindakan pekerja restoran terbabit yang ‘malas’ menggunakan tempat lebih sesuai di dapurnya itu membawa padah apabila restoran itu dikompaun berikutan gagal mengikut prosedur penyediaan makanan ditetapkan.
Restoran itu antara 23 premis yang dikompaun RM1,000 atas pelbagai kesalahan dalam Operasi Lesen (Ops Lesen) Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS) di sebuah kompleks membeli-belah di sini, semalam.
Antara kesalahan yang dikesan adalah menjalankan perniagaan tanpa lesen, tidak mempamerkan lesen perniagaan, lesen iklan tamat tempoh, meletakkan halangan di laluan awam dan tahap kebersihan tidak memuaskan.

These are some issues that we need to look at when doing dakwah to chinese especially in Malaysia...
As a Muslim, we cannot only think about our own religion, but we must be sensitive about other people around us too.
For your info, most Chinese in the older time are very supertitious they will obey and believe whatever their ancestors taught or told them ,so much so I think it will b difficult to convince them of Islam. On the other hand the modern Chinese are very advance and liberal they can accept logic and argurment accordingly to whatever seems reasonable.It is more easier to dahwah to the younger generation.
Weaknesses which I found in the modern Chinese (Malaysia) are:
1. No direct or indirect teaching of religion or belief of Buddhist/Confuscion /Taoisme etc to their children.Therefore there is a vaccum or lack of spiritual belief in their soul. Their are sort of like robots just follow suit whatever they parents pray they pray, parents go to temple they go, without knowing why and for what. Must ask them " What would happen to your soul if you happen to pass away this day, in the afterlife wiil you go to hell or heaven? (Most of them never think about this,happy go lucky only). Maybe Prof can give some tips of how to give points to convince them of afterlife in heaven/hell and fulfiling spiritual needs and gratification at the present life.
2. Family name from their ancestors are extremely important to them .Tell them they can remain their surname like Wong,Tan,Yap, Lim etc or do not have to change their name at all.Chinese Male is look upon to carry down their surname from one generation to another generation. Female when married off they are to follow the husband family.Their offsprings will follow the husband's surname. That is why Chinese female is easier to convert to other religions be it Islam, Christian ,Hindu and etc. Maybe Prof can give a good view or example of how the Chinese in China address this issue.
Well, have to stop, Mahghrib time must go to solat now.

Dewasa ini, dengan wujudnya segala macam prasarana komunikasi moden, ia seharusnya membangkitkan lagi semangat umat Islam untuk berdakwah kepada mereka yang belum lagi mengenal Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Menerusi laman-laman web ini, kita boleh mengambil peluang untuk memulakan dialog agama dengan yang belum Islam. Disamping berhujah, sesi dialog kita juga diteliti oleh mereka yang mengunjungi laman web tersebut sebagai tetamu. Dalam erti kata lain, banyak orang yang boleh terlibat secara tidak langsung dalam interaksi da’wah dan pertukaran pendapat yang berlaku.

Piala Dunia ibarat sebuah sihir yang nyata. Gara-gara bola, ramai orang boleh lupa akan penderitaan diri sendiri, apatah lagi penderitaan orang lain. Setidak-tidaknya buat sementara waktu segala penderitaan seolah-olah tiada dan tidak pernah ada. Mereka tidak peduli lagi dengan isu-isu yang berlaku di luar bola. Kalau ada pun yang peduli, jumlahnya hanya sedikit sahaja. Sihir bola sepak merasuk jauh ke dalam diri manusia sehingga ke peringkat wujudnya manusia yang meng‘agama’kannya.
Di beberapa negara Eropah, kaum Nasrani enggan datang ke gereja. Mereka lebih rela pergi ke stadium menonton pertandingan walaupun harus membayar mahal untuknya. Kita juga sering mendengar berapa ramai dari umat Islam yang ‘lebih redha’ menonton bola dan sanggup meninggalkan solat kerana tidak mahu terlepas perlawanannya. Para pemain bola sepak telah menjadi ‘Tuhan’ baru bagi sesetengah manusia. Ada penggila bola sampai ke tahap memuja bintang bola sepak mereka melebihi segala-galanya.
Di Argentina sebagai contoh, pemuja Diego Maradona mendirikan Gereja Maradona Iglesia Maradoniana. Maradona telah dianggap sebagai ‘Tuhan’. Dan diberitakan bahawa pengikut ‘agama’ Maradona ini mencapai 15 ribu orang di seluruh dunia. Agama yang didirikan pada 30 Oktober 1998 –hari lahirnya Maradona- ini memiliki kitab suci mereka sendiri iaitu buku biografi Maradona dan ‘10 Perintah Tuhan’ ala mereka sendiri. Salah satu perintah tersebut adalah kewajipan untuk mencantumkan nama Diego kepada anak-anak mereka.
Iglesia Maradoniana mempunyai tarikh keramat mereka sendiri yang dimulai dari tahun 1960 iaitu tarikh lahirnya bintang bolasepak dunia tersebut. Bagi mereka, tahun 2010 adalah sama dengan tanggal 50 AD (After Diego). Nombor 10 milik Maradona, dianggap bukan sekadar angka semata-mata, tetapi Diego 10’s, jika diolah akan menjadi D10S (dios) yang dalam bahasa Sepanyol bermaksud ‘Tuhan’.

Syeikh Mansour membeli Manchester City dengan harga RM1 billion. Suliman al-Fahim membeli Portsmouth sebanyak RM353 juta. Dan dilaporkan bahawa Putera Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdullah dari Saudi berniat membeli Liverpool dengan nilai RM1.84 billion. Sungguh ironi keadaan ini, di saat umat Islam menderita di seluruh dunia, para Kapitalis ini sibuk menghamburkan harta kepada suatu yang sia-sia.
Masyarakat Arab bertambah gila bola sejak masuknya Arab Saudi ke pusingan akhir Piala Dunia 1998. Stadium-stadium bola sepak di negara Arab selalu penuh dengan penonton dengan masing-masing mempunyai kelab kesukaan (favourite club) masing-masing. Sungguh mengaibkan kerana terdapat banyak peristiwa di mana pengulas perlawanan bola melaungkan takbir ‘Allahu Akbar’ ketika pemain membuat jaringan, walaupun penjaring gol itu adalah orang kafir!

Kursus Sukarelawan 'Hospital Visit' 2010 (Sabtu 19 Jun 2010 @ KLCC)
1.0 PENGENALAN
Islam amat menitikberatkan hubungan silaturrahim dikalangan setiap anggota masyarakat. Oleh itu, Islam amat menggalakkan umatnya menziarahi orang yang sedang sakit sama ada terlantar di hospital ataupun di rumah. Menziarahi pesakit merupakan satu amalan yang sangat mulia dan sangat dituntut dalam ajaran Islam. Ini bagi memastikan hubungan silaturrahim terus terjalin dengan lebih erat. Sehubungan itu, pihak Islamic Outreach ABIM telah memperkenal dan menjalankan Program Ziarah Pesakit Di Hospital mulai bulan September 1990. Program ini merupakan program menziarahi pesakit yang terlantar dan dirawat di hospital. Selain itu, pihak sukarelawan Ziarah Pesakit juga memberikan sokongan moral, sumbangan bulan Ramadan, tabung bantuan pesakit kronik dan lain-lain lagi dalam melahirkan masyarakat yang penyayang serta saling bantu membantu diantara satu sama lain. Program Ziarah Pesakit Di Hospital merupakan tanggungjawab sosial pihak Islamic Outreach ABIM dalam membantu masyarakat yang kurang bernasib baik dan memerlukan bantuan.
“Dan tolong-menolonglah kamu dalam mengerjakan kebaikan dan takwa dan janganlah kamu tolong-menolong dalam berbuat dosa dan kemungkaran.” (Surah Al-Maidah, ayat ke 2).
Selain itu, menziarahi orang orang sakit mempunyai banyak kelebihan dan akan mendapatkan ganjaran yang berlipatkali ganda. Ini berdasarkan Ali Bin Abi Talib melaporkan, “Saya mendengar Rasulullah S.A.W bersabda,
“Jika ada seorang Muslim yang menziarahi seorang Muslim lain pada waktu pagi, pasti ada tujuh puluh ribu malaikat yang mendoakannya semasa itu sehingga waktu petang. Jika beliau menziarahi pada waktu petang, pasti ada tujuh puluh ribu malaikat yang mendoakannya sehingga pagi esok. Orang yang menziarahi itu juga mendapat buah-buahan dalam syurga.” (Hadith Hasan direkodkan oleh Imam Tirmizi).
2.0 OBJEKTIF PROGRAM
1. Memperkukuhkan dan meningkatkan kualiti sukarelawan serta menjadikan setiap sukarelawan sebagai aset utama dalam menjalankan aktiviti sukarelawan serta menjadi sukarelawan yang berilmu, berkemahiran dan juga mempunyai nilai-nilai kesukarelawan yang tinggi.
2. Membantu dan memberi sokongan untuk memenuhi keperluan sosial, kebajikan, sokongan emosi dan kerohanian kepada pesakit.
3. Mengadakan kerjasama yang lebih erat antara sukarelawan dengan pihak Jabatan Kerja Sosial disetiap hospital yang dilawati.
4. Memupuk semangat kerjasama berpasukan dikalangan sukarelawan Program Ziarah Pesakit Di Hospital.
5. Menarik lebih ramai belia lepasan sekolah, pelajar IPTA, IPTS dan masyarakat umumnya untuk menjadi sukarelawan Program Ziarah Pesakit Di Hospital.
6. Untuk mewujudkan kerjasama dengan agensi kerajaan, Badan Bukan Kerajaan dan Badan-Badan Amal dalam membantu masyarakat seperti pesakit di Hospital.

'Love Land' China's New 'Sexually Explicit' Theme Park Shut Down
China is building what is billed as its first sex theme park, aimed at improving both the sex education and the sex life of its visitors.
Due to open in Chongqing in October, Love Land will include displays of giant genitalia, naked bodies and an exhibition on the history of sex.
The park will also offer sex technique workshops and safe-sex methods.
Among the attractions is a giant rotating statue of the lower part of a nearly naked woman.
"Sex is a taboo subject in China but people really need to have more access to information about it," the park's manager, Lu Xiaoqing told the China Daily state newspaper.
"We are building the park for the good of the public. I have found that the majority of people support my idea, but I have to pay attention and not make the park look vulgar and nasty."
He was inspired to build the park after a visit to South Korea's popular sex theme park in Jeju.
Critics say Love Land is a vulgar concept, and that the Chinese people are not ready to talk publicly about sex.
"These things are too exposed," Liu Daiwei, a Chongqing policewoman, was quoted as saying by the China Daily.
"I will feel uncomfortable to look at them when other people are around."

JASIN: Seorang ibu muda nyaris menyediakan hidangan asam pedas kepala anak biawak untuk hidangan tengah hari apabila mendakwa sebungkus asam jawa yang baru dibelinya dipercayai mengandungi kepala haiwan itu ketika menyediakan bahan untuk memasak, pagi semalam.
Dalam kejadian jam 10.15 pagi, ibu kepada dua anak itu, Noraizun Razali, 24, terkejut apabila asam jawa yang diramas dalam bekas plastik mengandungi objek keras dan kasar.
Menurut Noraizun, dia langsung tidak menyangka ketulan asam jawa itu adalah kepala haiwan berkenaan yang sepanjang lima sentimeter kerana ketika mengeluarkannya daripada plastik ia diambil dalam bentuk ketulan seperti biasa.
Bagaimanapun, katanya, ketika menggaul dan meramas asam jawa yang dicampur dengan air, baru dia perasan objek itu keras dan tidak dapat dipisahkan.
“Sekali lihat ia mempunyai muncung tajam dan saya ingatkan ia kepala ular kerana melihat keadaan kulitnya bersisik dan kelihatan giginya yang halus.
“Saya terus melepaskan objek itu dan memanggil jiran bagi memastikan apa benda yang ada dalam asam jawa berkenaan.
“Apabila mereka datang, kebanyakannya mengandaikan ia kepala ular kerana bentuk kepalanya leper dan mempunyai muncung tajam dan bentuk fizikalnya kelihatan jelas walaupun berlumuran dengan asam jawa,” katanya ketika ditemui di rumahnya di Taman Seri Kemendor, dekat sini, semalam.
Noraizun berkata, kepala haiwan berkenaan hanya dapat dilihat dengan jelas apabila ia dibasuh oleh seorang jirannya dan ketika itulah ia baru kelihatan menyerupai biawak.
Dakwanya, kulit binatang itu masih kelihatan elok walaupun bola matanya tiada lagi dan lebihan bahagian dalaman badan haiwan berkenaan yang terputus masih lagi ada.
Katanya, berdasarkan alamat pengeluar bahan makanan mentah itu ia dikeluarkan sebuah syarikat tempatan di Ipoh, Perak.
“Saya juga akan buat laporan kepada Jabatan Kesihatan (negeri) dan mengambil tindakan sewajarnya terhadap syarikat yang mengeluarkan asam jawa berkenaan,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Pengarah Jabatan Kesihatan negeri, Datuk Dr Azmi Hashim, ketika dihubungi bagi mengulas perkara itu berkata, wanita terbabit perlu membuat aduan kepada pihaknya bagi membolehkan tindakan lanjut dapat diambil.

Kes kedai mamak yang menggunakan pekerja bukan Islam bukanlah satu perkara yang baru. Kebanyakkan orang tahu tentang perkara itu.
Bukan setakat kedai mamak sahaja yang menggunakan taktik "ala-ala halal" ini, bahkan kedai bukan Islam yang lain juga ada menggunakanya. Restoran melayu juga banyak menggunakan logo halal serta sijil halal yang palsu.
Banyak taktik yang digunakan bagi mengelirukan masyarakat khususnya orang Islam. Antaranya dengan meletakkan logo halal palsu, sijil halal palsu, banner yang berwarna hijau dan mempunyai menara seakan-akan masjid serta kubah (bila ditanya dia kata itu Taj Mahal!!), ayat-ayat Al-Quran (sedangkan di sesetengah restoran terdapat patung penyembahan dan terdapat ayat Al-Quran juga terutama kedai mamak daun pisang), memakai kopiah (sedangkan tak pandai mengucap, membaca fatihah apatah lagi solat) dan sebagainya.
Bagaimana seseorang yang tak pandai mengucap mengetahui apa itu Halal dan Haram?
